You invested in a website expecting one thing: the phone to ring.

But instead, it sits there doing almost nothing.

If this sounds familiar, trust me… you’re not alone. I’m gettin e-mails from many plumbers that they have a website but there are no results. Usually there are two things happening:

  1. Bad website. Very common.
  2. Lack of marketing. You see.. in many cases, jsut having a website is not enough. You have to get Google reviews, you have to do a bit of google ads and etc. etc. SEO is a long-term game which you cannot rely on from the very beginning.

In this article I’m going to pay attention to the first point, bad website.

No obvious CTA

Someone lands on your site from Google, usually in an emergency or urgent situation. Which means, they’re not browsing… they’re looking for a solution fast.

If they can’t immediately see:

  • Your phone number
  • A “Call Now” button

They leave and call the next plumber.

A plumbing website should make calling you the easiest thing on the page.. not something people have to search for.

Your website looks fine… but doesn’t build trust fast enough

A big mistake is thinking a “professional-looking website” automatically gets leads.

Homeowners don’t call based on design – they call based on trust.

If your site doesn’t quickly show:

  • Real reviews
  • Local credibility
  • Photos of real work or your team
  • Licensing / insurance signals

Then visitors hesitate. Also, if you don’t have Google Business profile set up, do it now. We have a guide on how to get your plumbing business to show up on Google maps.

And in your industry, hesitation means losing the job.

Your website is too slow

If your website is slow, users will leave before they even see the content. Also, Google measures user experience through Core Web Vitals, making website speed an important factor for both visitors and search visibility.

Our websites load within 1,5 second which is great benchmark. Anything slower than 3 seconds and you’re loosing on potential clients. And that’s VERY COMMON.

Website not optimized for mobile

Most plumbing searches happen on a phone.

If your site:

  • Is not responsive
  • Has small texts
  • Makes people zoom in
  • Buries contact buttons

People don’t struggle with it.. they just leave.

Speed and simplicity matter a lot.
